In this exercise, we used jelly babies and sticky notes to plan an idea for a film opening. We used the idea of a youth walking through a middle-high class estate, crossing the road and entering his estate, which is filled with council houses and many of his friends. The entire opening would be a tracking shot of the youth. We used jelly babies to represent the characters in this piece. We also added titles and timings of the titles to show when they would come in and exit. On top of this, we added a soundtrack piece, as well as any other non-diegetic sounds. This exercise was good because it helped us note where we should place our characters in the opening, and will assist us when making our actual film opening.
